Spring is a wonderful time in our garden, the spring bulbs emerge , followed by masses of flowers. Blossoms on the fruit trees spring to life, the bees start to buzz ,birds and animals reproduce. St Mary's Primary School 84 Templeton Street Castlemaine
St.Mary’s Primary School, Castlemaine will be showcasing their eye-catching, extensive and productive vegetable garden. It is a vegetable garden that is actively maintained by the school community including its students, staff and parents. Produce from the vegetable gardens are harvested and used as ingredients in cooking classes, where students make delicious products such as preserves, apple muffins, sour cream apple slice and passata. The products are then sold fortnightly at the sustainable produce stall after assembly by the senior students or used in school community festivities, such as the Mother’s Day Long Lunch. Seasonal produce and baked goods will be sold during Cup Week.

FitzGeorge Park is a garden to play in. The original concept was to create games with gardens relating to the origin of each game. So, we have an Italian inspired bocce garden, a french inspired croquet lawn, a Spanish themed chess board and a Aussie beach volleyball court.
